“You know, “ I called to my husband in the other room, “If I had lived even a hundred years ago, I would have probably died because of childbearing by now.” We were dealing with yet another health issue of mine related to the wear and tear of pregnancy, childbirth, and nursing. 1. I'd really like to speak with you about an article you wrote in 2016 about Acedia. I feel I may be experiencing it. I feel lost. I seem to have lost all hope. I'm scared. This has been going on for almost two years now. I'm really struggling to make sense of all this. I've contemplated suicide in the past. I could really use your help. My email is somethingforpops@gmail.com - I really pray you'll reach out to me.

    1. I am so sorry you are having trouble. I recommend talking to a priest in person as soon as possible or seek counseling. I think that prayer and receiving the sacraments are the best way to work on overcoming vices such as acedia. Also, working to create habits that help you grow in virtue. I will pray for you for God to give you the grace you need to find joy in your daily life.
