We don't get started until late morning, but it's worth it because I can give my kids the attention they need...and I get a surprising amount of housework done before time, so the gap in morning activities isn't "wasted." My 3 year old will play nicely by himself, which helps a lot. Could you do school in the afternoon, just during this phase?
